#EscapeCult - Did you know that the thrush knew how to whistle?

Almost everyone must have heard or played with this tongue twister so ingrained in our popular culture, right? However, what many people do not know is that this large concentration of "S" is also a great way to teach and learn about the behavior of this bird well known in our country.

The thrush (considered the National Bird of Brazil) has a very evolved song that can have different meanings, for example, when the famous whistle is very prolonged and extremely fine, it can be used as an alert when perceiving a bird of prey hunting nearby. Even more interesting is the origin of the term thrush, which derives from Tupi and means “one who prays a lot”, in reference to its rich and melodious sound. Unfortunately, this great capacity for vocalization means that the thrushes are the target of traffickers to become cage birds.

If you, who now know that the thrush knew and know how to whistle, want to see him whistling, just pay attention to the trees in your city, he is certainly whistling around, still!
