#EscapeCult - Children's Day!

Having a life without worries, except when the mother will call for a bath, eat or ask to collect toys, is a privilege of those! And, since these little beings always bring, for those around and anywhere in the world, an explosion of joy, energy and creativity, it is only fair to toast their existence by telling a little about the history of this commemorative date of the 12th October, Children's Day.

Why is Children's Day celebrated on October 12?

Originally, what explains the choice of October 12th to honor and highlight important issues for the lives of the little ones is the commotion caused by the theme at the time when the 3rd South American Child Congress took place. But, it doesn't end there.

In addition to the facts, there are also some curious rumors about why this day, specifically, was set as a date to celebrate the existence of the little ones. One of them is the one that says that, on October 12, Christopher Columbus discovered the Americas and baptized them as “child continents”, because they were lands discovered late.

Celebrating Children's Day with children is more than common for Brazilians - so common that some people may even be surprised that other nations also have this commemorative date.

Tell us in the comments some good memories of your childhood!
